RAVO 5-Series B. 1 Recognizing safety information This is the safety warning symbol. When you see this symbol in the instruction manual, it is to be considered as a warning against possible bodily injury. Read the recommended instructions and follow the precautionary measures and the safe working practices.
B. 3.2 Use outside the machine specification Hazardous situations can occur if the machine is used for purposes other than those for which the RAVO sweeper is intended. The dangers arising out of such use are the responsibility of the owner/operator or user. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for this.
RAVO 5-Series B. 3.5 Wear suitable clothing and safety equipment Wear appropriate, close-fitting clothing and personal protective equipment when operating the machine. Be careful with anything that may become caught in the machine, such as jewellery or long hair. The safe operation of the equipment requires the operator's full attention. Do not wear headphones to listen to the radio or music whilst operating the machine.
RAVO 5-Series B. 3.7 Avoid contact with moving parts Do not start the machine or the brushes whilst people are standing nearby. Due to their function, many moving parts, such as the side brushes, cannot be completely shielded. Keep away from these moving parts whilst the machine is in operation. Keep hands, feet and clothing away from the machine's driven parts.
Use tools of the correct size to tighten and loosen parts. Avoid bodily injury that may result from slipping spanners. Only use service components, which meet the specifications of RAVO bv. These have been tested and approved by RAVO bv. The use of non-original and approved service components can have a negative impact on the safety and integrity of the sweeper.
RAVO 5-Series B. 3.12 Comply with environmental regulations Pay attention to the environment and the ecosystem. Before draining any liquid, decide on the best method of disposal. Observe the relevant environmental regulations when cleaning up oil, fuel, coolant, brake fluid, filters and batteries.

When scrapping the sweeper, the following activities must be carried out by a certified and specialist company.
B. 5 Sweeper emergency stop The RAVO sweeper is fitted with an emergency stop. This emergency stop should only be used in emergency situations in which case all sweeper functions need to be stopped. After operating this emergency stop, it is only possible to continue to drive the sweeper, all other functions are then put out of operation.
RAVO 5-Series B. 6 Transporting the sweeper Secure the sweeper to the transport vehicle to the anchor points on the machine using chains or straps with sufficient load capacity. WARNING!! SAFELY MANOEUVRE THE SWEEPER ON THE MEANS OF TRANSPORTT AND ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE TOOLS USED ARE SUITABLE FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE MACHINE.
RAVO 5-Series C. 1 Vehicle description The RAVO sweeper combines compact external measurements with a high sweeping and suction capacity. The following features make the RAVO very user friendly: • Easily accessible and user-friendly instruments and operating levers • A cabin that is well insulated against noise and extreme temperatures •...
RAVO 5-Series C. 2 Vehicle operation The suction nozzle (3) (adjustable in height) sucks in the waste that has been collected by the brushes (2 and 4).The suction fan (8) in the hopper (5) ensures that there is a lower pressure in the hopper, which causes a flow of air. This flow of air then sucks the waste into the hopper (5) via the suction nozzle (3) and the suction tube (9).
