Maintenance and care
To prevent damage it is important that you take care of
your hearing instruments and follow a few basic rules,
which will soon become a part of your daily routine.
Hearing instruments
Drying and storage
Dry your hearing instruments overnight.
u
Ask your Hearing Care Professional for recommended
u
drying products.
For longer periods of non-use, store your hearing
u
instruments with open battery compartment and
batteries removed in a drying system to avoid the
adverse effects of moisture. A DryAid kit is available
from your Hearing Care Professional.
Cleaning
Your hearing instruments have a protective coating.
However, if not cleaned regularly you may damage the
hearing instruments or cause personal injury.
Clean your hearing instruments daily with a soft, dry
u
tissue.
Never use running water or immerse the
u
devices in water.
Never apply pressure while cleaning.

Cleaning instruction for standard and custom
made earpieces
Cerumen (ear wax) on the earpiece may affect sound
quality. Listen for any changes in how your hearing
instrument is performing. If wax has built up, it can be
easily removed with the cleaning cloth or a soft tissue.
Do not use water, alcohol, benzene or any other liquid
or household cleaning agent or liquid to clean your
earpieces, as it may cause damage.
NOTICE
Never use sharp objects for cleaning, as they may
damage the dome. Never use pressure or rotating
action while cleaning.
