Preventing the installation of additional BizIP 410
telephones
You can configure the system in such a way that the number of BizIP 410
that can be connected to your HiPath BizIP is restricted to the current num-
ber. This means, for example, that you can prevent a telephone from being
connected temporarily and used for telephone calls without your knowl-
edge.
The block applies to the commissioning of additional BizIP 410 tele-
phones. Analog telephones connected to the ports "a/b 1" or "a/b 2"
are not affected.
Administration on the PC
Web > System-wide Settings > Device Management
Enabling/disabling the block
•
If activated:
To block additional telephones, click Lock under Allow New Phones.
•
If blocked:
To remove the block, click Unlock under Allow New Phones.
