Section 3 - Using SoftAP

Using SoftAP

The DWA-131's SoftAP feature allows you to use the device as an access
point. This means that wireless clients can connect to the computer the
DWA-131 is plugged into, and share its Internet connection.
Note: Using the SoftAP feature will temporarily disable the DWA-131's wireless
client functionality.
Note: The SoftAP feature supports a maximum of six wireless clients.
To begin, ensure that you have installed the SoftAP feature (see Installation
on page 7 for instructions how to do this).
Run the Portable WiFi application on your computer. On Windows, this
can be found in the Start menu.
The interface for the SoftAP feature appears in the lower-right of the screen.
If the DWA-131 is not already connected to the USB port of your computer,
then you will be prompted to do so.
