    Introduction Peer 2 Player ZIN-5003 is the perfect media entertainment center for living room, linking your PC, external USB hard disc, MP3 player and much more. With peer-to peer protocol, it can connect all seeds through LAN or USB devices and allows you to download media files over the internet. You can play stored favorite media files without running your personal computer.

    Interface Information Front panel Power button and Power LED Press to turn the peer 2 player on and LED indicator next to the lights up in blue. Or LED indicator lights on with red color represent the standby/sleep mode. Light off when the system is power off. HDMI The HDMI LED indicator lights up in green to indicate the HDMI output you switch.
  • Page 8 Connection Port of rear panel DC IN Connect to the DC output of power adapter. Connect to the RJ-45 Ethernet 10/100 based network. Be careful not to plug the telephone line into the LAN connector. S-VIDEO Connect to the display with the S-VIDEO IN/ AUDIO L/R IN jacks on the display using S-VIDEO/ AUDIO L (White)/R (Red) cables.

    Setting up Peer 2 Player ZIN-5003 Step1: Cable connections. Choose the connection that match the input jack of your display with the appropriate cables. A. To connect display with HDMI port. B. Digital sound system connection with S/PDIF jack. For digital output, we recommend to use S/PDIF optical audio cable to connect your amplifier or digital home theater system.
  • Page 10 Step2: Wired LAN or wireless LAN (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g) connection to hook up display as a part of home network. A. For content streaming from your computer and internet, prepare an Ethernet cable for connecting broadband router to your modem. And plug another Ethernet cable into the network RJ-45 jack on the rear panel of the Peer 2 Player and the corresponding network jack on the router.

If you have the optional wireless USB dongle we approved, content streaming is possible wirelessly using Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g. recommend you use USB extension cable for connecting your USB dongle into Peer 2 Player. You need to plug USB dongle into one of the USB port on the front panel of Peer 2 Player and connect to internet through wireless router.

If PC’s operation system is Windows XP, please use the Network Setup Wizard to set up your computer for home networking and refer to the Microsoft’s official...
  • Page 13 Step3: Connect USB devices, if available. Step4: Power cord connection Plug one end of the power cord into the back of Peer 2 Player and the other end into a power outlet. Step5: Press the button on the front panel of Peer 2 Player, and the Power LED would be lighted with blue color.

    Identifying the remote control button Press to turn the Peer 2 Player on and off. Display the main menu screen. Go back to the last page. Press to display the information when playing media files, such as the video resolution, file name, date and so on.

    OSD Main Menu instructions Once the system is booted, press and OK to access the desired option. The option where the highlight is positioned is the target option. On-Screen main menu give you the access to the following features: (1) PC media: This option allows you to connect the multimedia, such as videos, music and pictures those are alive in local area network.

    Setup Menu Network Setting If your wired network equipment such as router, AP uses DHCP to assign IP address automatically, by default the Peer 2 Player within the local area network (LAN) will automatically request the IP and other related information over the network setup in the DHCP of Network Setting Menu.
  • Page 17 Static IP Press the OK buttons to select Wired or Wireless on the Network menu, and press the OK buttons to select Static IP option. Press the OK button to recall the on-screen keyboard, and press the button to input the value of IP Address, Subnet mask, Gateway, and DNS text box respectively.

    System Press OK to access the Setup on the main menu, and Press OK buttons to select System. Press the buttons to highlight each item of System menu and press to setup the below option. (1) OSD Language: For OSD language selection. The option included English/ Traditional Chinese/ Simplified Chinese/ French/ Spanish.

    Default Setting Press the OK buttons to select the Default Setting of Setup menu, and the default alarm message will pop up. Press OK buttons to select Yes to erase all personal setting or select No to return the previous menu. After returning the defaults, the initial installation wizard page will be appeared and return to CVBS/S-VIDEO source.

    Software Update Press the OK buttons to select the Software Update of Setup menu, and the default alarm message will pop up. Regularly software version of Peer 2 Player may be improved and modified, and this function allows you to upgrade the software online it runs to take advantage of these changes.

    PC Media Besides external USB storage device, you can also search and play all available image and audio files automatically from remote PC within the network or intranet. To access the music, video and photos residing on your PC (via network streaming), you need to successfully setup your Local Area Network environment by router or Access Point first.

    Music If you select the Music Folders files searching way, a list of the available shared folders will be appeared. Press OK to select each one of these shared folders. If you select All Music searching way, a list of all audio files will be displayed directly.

    Video To begin with, please follow the step 1 in the previous Music Section to display the list of all the video files in remote PC. Once the video files are visible on the screen, press to navigate to the desired files and press OK to play the video. Note: (1) Peer 2 Player supports below video formats- WMV 7/8, MPEG-4, H.264, AVI, DivX 3/4/5, XviD, MKV, DAT and Real Video (rm., rmvb.) .

    Photo To begin with, please follow the step 1 in the previous Music Section to display the thumbnail photo viewer of the photo files in remote PC. Once the photo files are visible on the screen, press navigate to the desired files and press OK to play the photo. selected photo in the album will be displayed in full-screen mode.

    USB Media As a Home multi-media platform, this function searches and plays all available image and video files automatically from external device with USB interface. Plug in the USB storage devices in the USB slots on the front panel of the Peer 2 Player.

    Download Media BitTorrent is the leading and the most common peer-to-peer files sharing communications protocol. Used in conjunction with its built-in BitTorrent client/engine, this product can be set to download media files from the external USB device or remote PC and save the files directly. This function provides the quick, easy-to-use, high quality, video downloads from major studios and content providers without tying up you computer for hours.
