6. LED located on the front side of the camera blinks for 20 seconds to
indicate that the uploading is being performed correctly. (If SY1 board is
removed, LED does not blink)
If the power supply stops or the serial communication
cable comes off during the uploading of Firmware, this
may lead to destroy the Flash Memory. Therefore, do not
perform other operation until "Complete" is indicated.
In the firmware, there are 2 types of specification; NTSC or
PAL. Do not upload the firmware for PAL to NTSC, or its
opposite. (However, there is a protection function on the
program)
When the uploading of Firmware is performed, Hyper
function, Direct Print function and Print mark function are
erased at the same time. Therefore, after completing the
upload, these 3 functions have to re-install by using the
Uploader, which should be included in the same package.
7. When the uploading gets close to the end, the camera beeps one time and
lets you know that the operation moved from reading to writing to Flash
Memory.
Be careful not to take the first beep sound (indication of the
operational change from reading to writing to the Flash
Memory) as the ending sound of operation.
When the operation is completed, the second beep sound is
emitted and a message "Complete" is indicated on the
screen. Make sure that a message "Complete" is indicated
on the screen before getting off the program.
8. After one or two seconds later, when writing operation is completed,
beeping sound is emitted again. Then, a message "Update Firmware:
Complete" is indicated on the screen.
9. Press OK button.
