    Checking the battery status The battery icon in the Windows notification area displays the percentage of battery power remaining. Different computer components consume power at different rates. The more you use the power-intensive components, the faster you consume battery power. Because each computer user has different habits and needs, it is difficult to predict how long a battery charge will last.

    If your computer is preinstalled with any version of a Windows operating system, Lenovo provides an image of the system on a “hidden” partition of the hard disk drive.

    Step 3. Select a backup image or the factory image and then follow on-screen instructions. Note: If the backup image is stored on an external storage device, make sure the device is connected and configured properly. When the recovery process is completed, the computer restarts and the system partition reverts back to the previous backup point or the factory status.
