3.2.3 Horn rotation

HF dispersion orientation can be changed by rotating the HF waveguide 90 degrees.

・4mm hex key

・3mm hex key

Procedure

(1)

Using a 3 mm hex key, unscrew the four M4 machine screws on the top and the bottom of the XY-81 enclosure.

Gently remove the grille from the front of the enclosure. (Fig.3-2-3-A)

Unsing a 4 mm hex key, remove the four M5 socket head bolts holding the HF waveguide in place. (Fig.3-2-3-B)

Lift the waveguide up and rotate it 90 degrees to change the dispersion orientation depending on the orientation of the

enclosure. When the HF waveguide is rotated back to the original orientation, ensure it is rotated in the reverse

direction when it was first rotated. (Fig.3-1-3-C)

Reinstate the M5 socket head bolts and retighten. Avoid over thightening as this may crack the waveguide.

Reinstate the grille by gently placing it in place over the front of the loudspeaker. (Fig.3-2-3-E)

Reinstate the four M4 machine screws to secure it in place. (Fig.3-2-3-E)
