Fibre Channel RAID Service Aids
The Fibre Channel RAID service aids contain the following functions:
Certify LUN
Certify Spare Physical Disk
Format Physical Disk
Array Controller Microcode Download
microcode source. /etc/microcode is default. Default source device is disk.
Description
Force flag. Required to download microcode if the current level is unavailable
on the source.
Microcode level. Latest is default.
microcode source. /etc/microcode is default. Default source device is disk.
This selection reads and checks each block of data in the LUN. If excessive
errors are encountered the user is notified.
You can run this task from the AIX command line. The following usage
statement describes the syntax of the fastpath command:
Usage: diag -T "certify"
This selection allows the user to certify (check integrity of the data) on drives
designated as spares.
You can run this task from the AIX command line. The following usage
statement describes the syntax of the fastpath command:
Usage: diag -T "certify"
This selection is used to format a selected disk drive.

statement describes the syntax of the fastpath command:

This selection allows the microcode on the Fibre Channel RAID controller to be
updated when required.
