FLASH Utility
The system BIOS resides on a ROM chip in the system and is updated using the following
procedure. Before starting the BIOS update, we recommend that you contact NECC for
assistance (see Section 8 for NECC contacts).
Update the FLASH ROM with a BIOS FLASH diskette. You can get the diskette from NECC or
download the BIOS from the NECC website. See Section 8 for download and website
information.
Update the BIOS from the BIOS FLASH diskette as follows.
Write down or print the BIOS Setup parameters currently set on the system.

Turn off the system.

Put the flash diskette in drive A and turn on the system.

At the flash upgrade menu, choose

When asked for a path/file name, use the arrow keys to select the ROM file and press

The utility asks for confirmation to load the new flash into memory. Select

Reboot the system and start the Setup program. Press

The NEC INFO Center is preinstalled on the system. To start the NEC INFO Center, double click
the NEC INFO Center icon on the Windows desktop. The NEC INFO Center opening screen
appears (see the following figure).
Click on an NEC INFO Center module of your choice, depending on the information you want
to see. We suggest you start with the Tour module.
