All operating lines contain field-proven and practice-oriented values. Codings, guide
values, explanations, etc., are given in the installation instructions where required.
Function block "Service functions and general settings" contains three operating lines
that are especially suited for making functional checks:
•
Operating line 161 permits the simulation of an outside temperature
•
On operating line 162, each of the three output relays can be energized
•
On operating line 163, all actual sensor values can be called up
•
On operating line 164, all H-contacts can be called up

The ideal location for the controller is a dry room, such as the boiler room, but it can
also be installed in a location which, from a climatic point of view, is unfavourable. Its
degree of protection is IP42 to EN 60529 and is therefore protected against dripping
water.
The permissible ambient temperature is 0...50 °C.
The RVL470 can be fitted as follows:
•
In a control panel (on the inner wall or on a DIN mounting rail)
•
On a panel
•
In the control panel front
•
In the sloping front of a control desk
The RVL470 can be mounted in three different ways:
•
Wall mounting: the base is secured to a flat wall with three screws
•
Rail mounting: the base is snapped on a DIN mounting rail
•
Flush panel mounting: the base is fitted in a panel cutout measuring
138
138 mm (+1 mm / –0 mm)
*
•
The cable lengths should be chosen such that there is sufficient space to open the
control panel door
•
Cable tension relief must be provided
•
The cables of the measuring circuits carry extra-low voltage
•
The cables from the controller to the regulating unit and the pump carry mains voltage
•
The cables to the sensors should not be run parallel to mains carrying cable (e.g.
power supply for the pump)
