The FM reception
is poor.
Use a 75.ohm coaxial cable (not supplied) to
connect the receiver to an outdoor FM antenna as
shown below. If you connect the r-eceiver to an
outdoor antenna, ground it against lightning. To
prevent a gas explosion, do not connect the ground
wtre to a gas pipe.

- Check that the antennas are connected sccurcly.
Adjust the antennas and connect an cxtct-nal
antcma if necessary.
* The signal strength of the stations is too u c,rk
(when tuning in with automatic tuning). Uw
direct tuning.
* Make sme you set the tuning interval cot-I-ectly
(when tuning in AM station\ with direct tuning).
* No stations have been preset or the preset
stations have been cleared (when tuntng by
scanning preset stations). Preset the stations
(page 32).
- Press DISPLAY so that the frequency appears in
the display.
There is no picture or an unclear picture appears
on the TV screen or monitor.

Select the appropriate function on the receiver.

Set your TV to the appropriate input mode.
l
Move your TV away from the audio components.
The remote does not function.
. The VIDE03. TV/SAT, PHONO, AUX,
SOURCE, MPX/DUAL. ANALOG DIRECT, 12
and ON SCREEN buttons on the remote are not
available for HT-6500DP and HT-5500D (RM-
PP4l I only).

The MULTI CH button on the remote is not
available for HT-l700D (RM-U306 only).

Point the remote at the t-emote sensor q on the
receiver.
* Check that the mode of the remote corresponds
to that of the receiver (pages 35 and 40)
(RM-PP4I I only).
* Check that you select AV2 as the command
mode of the receiver (page 35) (RM-U306 only).
- Remove any obstacles in the path between the
remote and the receiver.
. Replace both batteries in the remote with new
one\. if they at-c weak.
* Make sure you select the correct function on the
rCmotc.
