10. Turn off the server and disconnect the ac power cord.
11. Install the cover (see "Installing the cover" on page 73).
12. Slide the server into the rack.
13. Reconnect the ac power cord into the connector on the back of the power

4. Replace the rear screw, which holds the power supply to the rear of the
chassis (see the illustration on page 89).
5. Connect the internal power-supply cable from the power supply to the power
connector (CN20) on the system board (see "System-board internal
connectors" on page 6).
6. Route the other internal power-supply cable, securing it under the
retention-clips on the chassis; then, reconnect the cable to the CD/DVD
interposer card.

7. Replace the hard disk drive back panel or backplane and reconnect all cables
(see "Installing the SAS/SATA backplane or SATA back panel" on page 93).
8. Replace the air deflector.
9. Test the power supply by completing the following steps:
a. Connect one end of the ac power cord for the new power supply into the
connector on the back of the power supply, and connect the other end of
the power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
b. Make sure that the standby power LED on the system board is lit (see
"System-board LEDs" on page 9); if the standby power LED is not lit,
discontinue this procedure and obtain a new power supply.
c. Press the power-control button. Make sure that the power-on LED on the
front of the server is lit.
If the server starts, proceed to step 10. If the server does not start, disconnect
the ac power cord and call for service.
