The mix should be arriving at the mixdown
recorder. It's good to check this as part of your
tracking process. At the conclusion of a session the
artist will probably want to take a rough mix for
evaluation—you'll look better if it's already set to go.

Play multitrack back—playback should sound
identical to tracking and you're ready to print a
rough mix.
