Your oven has a range of oven functions for preparing food.

Functions which do not use microwave energy

Function
Grill 
For grilling thin cuts (e.g. steaks) and browning
baked dishes. The entire top heat / grill element
glows red to produce the required infra-red
radiation. The temperature is fixed in this
function and cannot be altered.
Defrost 
The fan circulates air around the oven cavity at
room temperature to gently defrost frozen food.
Rapid heat-up
For pre-heating the oven quickly. The oven
function required must then be selected.
Fan plus 
This function is used for baking and roasting on
different levels at the same time. A lower
temperature can be selected than when using
Conventional heat , as the fan distributes the
heat to the food straight away.
Fan grill 
For grilling thicker cuts of meat (e.g. chicken).
Lower temperatures can be used than when
using the Grill  function, as the fan
distributes the heat to the food straight away.
