Removing the Processor Cage

To remove the processor cage, perform the following (see Figure 4-60).
1. Remove the system board. See subsection Removing the System Board
earlier in this chapter.
2. With the system board on a nonconductive, static free surface remove the
eight screws from the back of the system board securing the processor cage
to the system board.
Note:
processor cage to the system board for future use.
3. Remove the processor cage and set it aside for reattaching later.

door hinge slots positioned towards the right-hand side of
