remote server before you install it.

In the show license command syntax, host-ip is either an IPv4 dotted decimal

Enter flash://filepath to display a license stored in a
local flash directory on the switch.
Enter ftp://userid:password@host-ip/filepath to
display a license stored on a remote file server using FTP.

display a license stored on a remote file server using secure
copy.
Enter tftp://host-ip/filepath to display a license
stored on a remote file server using TFTP.
Enter usbflash://filepath to display a license stored on
an external flash device.
