Appendix D: Product
Configuration Record Table
Use these tables to record pertinent information about your server. You will need some
of this information to run the System Setup Utility. Be sure to update these tables when
you add options.
Record the model and serial numbers of the server components, dates of component
removal or replacement, and the name of the vendor from whom the component was
purchased. Be sure to record the same information for any components added to the
server, such as a power supply, hard disk drives, add-in boards, or printers.
Record the model and serial numbers of the unit and server board. The model and serial
numbers of the server unit are recorded on a label attached to the rear of the unit.
The location of serial numbers on add-in boards, hard disk drives, and external
equipment, such as video displays or printers, varies from one manufacturer to another.
Literature accompanying these products should illustrate or describe the location of
model and serial numbers.
