Example
The following example sets a shaper on queue 1 on gi 1 1 when the average traffic
rate exceeds 124000 kbps or the normal burst size exceeds 9600 bytes.

39.22 rate-limit (Ethernet)

Use the rate-limit Interface (Ethernet) Configuration mode command to limit the
incoming traffic rate on a port. Use the no form of this command to disable the rate
limit.
Syntax
committed-rate-kbps [burst committed-burst-bytes]
rate-limit
no rate-limit
Parameters
committed-rate-kbps—Specifies the maximum number of kilobits per
second of ingress traffic on a port. The range is 100 –maximal port speed.
burst committed-burst-bytes
3000–19173960). If unspecified, defaults to 128K.
Default Configuration
Rate limiting is disabled.
